Collection

In the project ”Collection” we have created objects to fit into a giant outdoor display case, placed on Designmuseum Danmark’s new museums plaza. This way the exhibition in the display case is visible for the audience 24-hour and beautifully lit up during evening and night.
We have hand-modeled 11 magnified objects which each and everyone revolve around a function. All of them inspired by the existing collection in the museum – different historical periods in design or specific ceramic techniques.
The 11 objects are created in order to be put together into three larger “things for everyday use”: A jug, a tureen and a dish for cold cuts. ”The objects for everyday use” are so big that they can be easily seen from a distance in the outdoor space.
The objects are partly acquired by and partly donated to Designmuseum Danmark, and this way the work is included in their amazing collection for posterity.
